BlueImpact

Blue Impact is developing a technology for chemical-free dispersion of oil spills. The technology utilizes water under high pressure to mechanically disperse oil into microscopic droplets. These droplets will stay suspended and be biodegraded by microorganisms.  The dispersion system is built into an unmanned vessel (USV) to ensure a flexible operation with no risk for personnel.

Spawn enables interactivity and interaction in a simple and intuitive way. Using virtual reality modeling, participants can operate and plan 1 to 1 with the product or installation.

NORBIT Aptomar provides integrated monitoring solutions for the maritime sector. Clean Sea Solutions AS is a Norwegian Impact StartUp with the purpose of contributing to creating a cleaner and more sustainable future for the sea by offering modularized stationery, autonomous and manned technical solutions in order to establish and preserve Clean Water Zones in ports, marinas, canals, rivers, and other waterfront areas.

CombiPro focuses particulates being a residue that escapes industrial purification technology. Using nanosized magnetic particles, that binds onto such particulates, magnetic interaction enables effective removal. The method is named NanoClean can be integrated to enhance existing equipment for purification of fluids such as: oily water, algal cells, polymers etc.

Disruptive Value Group AS (DVG) is a lean company, developing material technologies with a broad product market fit. Our main mission is to develop new unique materials making a difference when it comes to sustainability, recycling and combine this with attractive economics.

Our main goal is to develop, test and commercialize barrier materials for Plugging & Abandonment- P&A and Carbon Capture & Storage -CCS. We have already developed several versions of our P&A solutions EnviSeal within a very limited budget. Green Energy Distribution Norway AS (GED) is a company that is dedicated to providing sustainable energy distributions to consumers. Our mission is to reduce the carbon footprint and deforestation of energy distribution by offering innovative, environmentally friendly products that can replace traditional utility poles.

Our main product is a patented composite utility pole made of HD polyethylene, polyurethane, and bamboo, the Ecopole. Ecopole is lightweight, durable, and have a significantly longer lifespan compared to traditional wooden and concrete poles. Our products are eco-friendly and 100% recyclable at the end of their life cycle.

The total market for utility poles is estimated to 39 billion USD yearly.

All municipalities in Norway are obliged by law to participate in inter-municipal committees against acute pollution (oil and chemical spills), abbreviated to IUA. The emergency preparedness in the municipalites is based on relevant incidents that may occure, and which are not covered by private emergencye preparedness. In the event of minor incidents, the municipality shall implement measures on its own. IUA is mobilized when the incident is to large and/or complex to be handled by a single municipality. IUA Bergen region is covering the municipalities Alver, Askøy, Austevoll, Austrheim, Bergen, Bjørnafjorden, Eidfjord, Fedje, Gulen, Hyllestad, Kvam, Masfjorden, Modalen, Osterøy, Samnanger, Solund, Ulvik, Vaksdal, Voss and Øygarden. Bergen is the host municipality.

The Norwegian Coastal Administration (NCA) is a government agency that provides public services on behalf of the ministry of Transport and Communications. Our primary responsibility is to safeguard and develop the coastal areas and seaways for all users.

The Norwegian Coastal Administration provides safe travel by sea, good accessibility and a good national preparedness against acute pollution.

NOFO establishes and maintains oil spill preparedness on the Norwegian Continental Shelf in order to combat oil pollution on behalf of 30 operating oil companies.
This includes both response in open seas as well as in coastal waters and along shorelines / beaches.
NOFO is a dedicated, non-profit  24h / 7d a week,  oil spill response organization with total recovery capacity of 200.000 bbl / d.

The Norwegian Centre against Marine Litter is a government agency under the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment. Our primary objective is to ensure cleaner seas through the reduction of marine litter.

The Sture terminal near Bergen in western Norway is an important export port for crude oil. The terminal receives crude and condensate from the Oseberg area and the Grane area in the North Sea through pipelines.
The Sture facility comprises two jetties able to berth tankers up to 300,000 deadweight tonnes, plus five artificial rock caverns for crude with a total capacity of one million cubic metres.
